Whistler is a great place. I worked at a bar over there part time about 5 years back, had a blast.

I live to the south of Saitama, been in Japan for 2 seasons now. Not posted here until today.

Hi there, my first post here.
Ever seen any hills in Japan in winter and thought "wow, that would make a sweet run up there" if only they'd develop it. I'm not wanting to get into a "we don't need more cutting of trees and more resorts, we've got enough already" discussion, just wondering where others have seen some potentially awesome runs.
Off the top of my head:
- parts not developed at ARAI;
- the slopes above the top part of Kagura;
- up in the mountains in Toyama (forgot the names, will have to look)

OK so some places that have good nighta.
The best I have experienced is in Niigata, Ishiuchi next to Yuzawa. Quite a lot of area opens up.
Any other really good nighta places?
