Yeah, I'm not fussed about becoming mega rich and all the pressures that come with it.
Comfortably well off and enjoying life is the best balance --- if you can get that balance of course!

There's a place in Numata that does a good curry.
Cooking done by Indian blokes.
Good to go there every now and again.
-
Must....remember.... cheese!
-
Really great idea there.
Have told a few friends about this and they will use it to show people how to get to their places.
-
Numbers? Don't know. Plenty fast.
-
Remember not to go to Tenjin too early this time, muika
-
Yep a real wet one today.

60+ people? That sounds like a fairly large small business there Mamabear!
-
One man's rust-scarred, concrete bunker is another man's investment opportunity!
Yeah, they are all in big demand....must explain why they are all snapped up so quickly!
Is there ANY resort area, ski or not, that does not have this mess going on?
-
Note to self - remember to get going as fast as you possibly can on that bit. Otherwise you'll be pushing yourself along at the end!
-
Some "pumpkin seed" ones too. Much better than it sounds!
-
Picked up some "tempura renkon senbe" at a local michi no eki over the weekend.
Delicious they are.
Actually I really like lots of the snacks you can find in those places. Interesting things going on.

Around Gunma and Niigata.

Not interested.

Another week and we'll be there I think.

That's a really great idea. I thought of mountains when I saw them but didn't realise they were based on some actual mountains. Which ones?
A really good logo comes from it having meaning - even if it isn't apparent to people straight away.

A fair few onsen still have no tattoo signs, round these parts anyway. -
18 dead and 44 missing so far it seems.
More pretty wild scenes of villages flooded and almost tsunami like images of buildings being washed away.

What was the name of your local resort torihada?
I'd come. And go to Europe too.
But even if you get unlucky with a late start, think of all the other +++ of Japan. Go on you know you want to!

Akagi lake, popular for fishing, not opening because of contamination...... (Gunma)

It is a fair distance but I would imagine many people going over there have a car anyway. In a car they are definitely very easy to do together. Something a bit different.
-
Interesting I think it has aged well.
Perhaps you were 'in the wrong mood'.

Hmm, 27,000 Bq/kg of cesium accumulated in daycare center mud/sludge/leaves.
If it were a rice paddy, you wouldn't be allowed to plant rice in it -- legal limit being 5,000 Bq/kg.
And in Niigata!
Have a feeling more little surprises like this are waiting out there.
Or surprises that are a bit bigger than small. -
Weather has been very strange this summer. It's almost like rainy season keeps on making a comeback and had some real deep water the other day in these parts.
New SnowJapan stickers and flyers - want some?

They look really great.
