Snow city - I bet its a good escape from the heat though isn't it?

Fattwins, are people more aware of "manners" at resorts overseas? (I wouldn't know as I've only been here!)
-
Good point.

There seem to be 2 types from what I see;
- the real gaijin who acts 'like a gaijin' is supposed to;
- the gaijin who behave and totally try to fit in with the Japanese
They are both annoying to me!

I'd love to go there, I've heard it's really good. (And I like birds too).

Yesterday I felt great. I was going down there real fast (for me)....do you always feel faster than you actually are.... and even went off course (a couple of meters! don't laugh) for a short while. It felt really good!

Next question - any good Indian restaurants in the mountains of Gifu anyone know about?
-
Until when does Dynaland usually open? (with fairly decent conditions?)

What did you win??

I just have done. Kudos to Arai for agreeing to do this. Lets hope they answer the right questions

Hey Dean
Thanks for that. Alas, I am a near beginner, so there's no need to talk to me about K2 and Everest My first time was in Japan. I am learning from reading all the posts here and enjoying it all - I don't think I have anything of interest to write (unless we're talking about software programming of course;)

I really respect those guys, so much work going into that.

OK, who on this site has a mullet then? Go on, admit it!
-
OK, what is the donnie darko thing you keep on talking of?
-
That is a wonderful website, isn't it!
-
It's so great to see you being friends now
-
It's good to hear that.
-
I might be there this weekend.
I'm the Indian guy!
-
I demand a refund!
It must be good to know you're wanted though, hey SJ?

I was surprised to see that our fab forum here is about 100 times more active than the Japan Today one. Wow.
-
Am I good enough, I wonder...
-
BTW, anyone know a good (authentic) Indian restaurant in Nagano city?
-
Lickadickaday?!?!!!?

OK, since I have been in Japan I have put up with a lot of unwanted attention - people looking at me even when I'm doing nothing, just because of my skin color. Always standing out, making me more self-conscious.
I've seen more of it in the last year or so, since the terrorist thing happened. Me coming from India maybe makes me look typecast in a whole new way.
But I was wondering all you other foreigners thoughts on being constantly stared at and standing out in crowds.
What's going on here - are you trying to drive people away?

Sorry, but you sound like a fool with too much time on your hands.
