I used to love the Young Ones, but like you say, I don't know how it would stand up. Good for sentimental value after a beer up, but sober and first viewing...do kana?

Rod Stewart look. Nice...
-
I watch less as my Japanese gets better, coz I can actually understand the drivel better.
-
Frost! Now even that would be real nice to see.

Are we "officially" out of rainy season yet in Tokyo and region?
-
It's good weather this morning, and about time too....=

Is soccer part of being a scouser, scouser?
-
I've never had the pleasure of experiencing anything like that.
The most amusing I get is the boss standing up for the morning meeting every morning at 8:30.
He proceeds to tell us what day and date it is (including the YEAR!), as well as the time (even though it's the same time every morning when he tells us). He seems to think it's a reasonable thing to do, and we are all all the better for being reminded.

I've had a fair few days over at Alts. Once they were filming the London Hearts program while we were there. We actually got on tv too (for about 2 seconds).

...but otherwise, no

Hirafu is the best up there, but the others are worth checking out. The snow is just too good to miss.

Simple, once the season is over, I just go in and get her cleaned/tuned up so I can store her knowing she'll be just fine.
(It helps that the guy who does it is a good buddy and does it for real cheap)
-
How's the season going down there I wonder...? Anyone on here down there right now?
-
Just right I reckon. It seems the coolness will continue for another few days as well.
-
I get mine done twice a season - at the end and just before the beginning. That hasn't been mentioned here, does no-one else do that?
-
I got my current gear in early April of this year, at 65% off the normal price, so I'm kinda looking forward to using it in the coming season.
-
No new technologies to show off then to replace the lifts?
-
Lucky you.
The atmosphere there will be amazing.

Killer slopes!
Is that the resort?!
Thanks for the piccys, Ocean.

Needed a good whuppin' indeed.
And that's what he (it?) got!

A lot of riding going on.
I am lucky to get out once a week.

Based on what?
Well, how about these for starters.
- based on the fact that there is little media interest in the WC (check out all the major US news websites, and please compare with UK, European, etc)
- based on the fact that there is almost no mention of it on the TV. If they had not won, it would have almost disappeared into oblivion
- based on the fact that the % of people in the US bothered with soccer is extremely small compared to Europe. Yes there are fans that enjoy it of course - and good on ya! - but a TINY number in comparison.
- I think that's about enough for now.
Just saying that soccer in the US is nothing compared to the way it's a big part of life in many other countries, and that looking at the US media (until the win last night), you may not have known that the WC was on.
Hopefully the US "success" (if it can continue) will help soccer become more popular in the country.
