Any possibility of posting some photos on the forum part of this site? Just a thought....might be nice for people to send in some digital photos of some skiing around Japan. I have a few I wouldn't mind posting.

Hey Checkout couloirmag.com and they have a section on backcountry skiing or go to telemarktips.com and you can do some reading there. I think this should help you out quite a bit.

Ocean11,
Have a good weekend. Looks like they have gotten quite a bit of snow here the last week or so. Enjoy the weekend out there - and keep the posts going. Nice to see some stuff online here at the forum. Checkout telemarktips.com for their chat room. Pretty good with lots of interesting posts back in the USA. Get some pow.

Ocean11&Mogski,
Point taken. Only my second post here. The previous one was regarding someone who was looking for some info on some good places to ski. And all you did was crush him and made him out to be an idiot and said to check out the website. As for the swift punch to the chops I'll be at Arai this weekend.

Hey Ocean11,
Wish I could be there to thrash the top sheets of your skis on purpose and then maybe you will put your money where your mouth is. Or maybe you will break a hand and only be able to type one-handed. I'm sure that will slow down your ridiculous posts. Who gives a rats ass about the top sheets. They are only cosmetic - you people need to chill.

Hey SillyWilly,
Great post - I think the people here need to chill out a little bit. As for me I'm new to Japan this year and have had somewhat of a hard time finding info about ski areas. There are over 600 ski areas here. To say that this website is the end all be all of info is ridiculous. So I've only skied a few times this year but this is what I have to say. Been to Happo-One a few times. Lots of lifts - equals about the same number of trails. Trails get crowded. Got some good snow. Good bump skiing and the village is kind of cool there. Not much for steeps though - compared to Lake Tahoe area. Then have also been to Mt. Arai up further north. Just a day trip there. Lots of snow. They have two quad chairs that access some nice terrain. I think they had a 4.5m base when I was there. Much less crowded than Happo which I liked. I'm heading back up there in a few weekends. Anyone out there know where some good tree skiing is with not too much on the crowded side of things. Hope this helped out some.
