Ample if it's your team. Not if it's the Big Three all the time and you happen to support other teams.

What about the one they seemed to film at Alton Towers. I can't for the life of me think of the name, it was like quiz program with 2 bands on every week. What was that one called?? (It's starting to annoy me now!)

Believe it or not, roundabouts can be confusing and frightening to people who have no experience of one. So I've found. A Japanese friend of mine HATED them in the UK, especially big very busy ones.

Is there anyone else out there who doesn't know their blood type. I really didn't until I was asked so many times and I found out so I could answer.
Some people seem to put a lot of importance on it for some strange reason.

I was just reading about those resorts offering good food on the slopes and thought it might be a good idea for a thread. I haven't been to those places so I don't know.
But generally, I'm really fed up of the "food" on offer at resorts. It's usually just so crap.
Anyone recommend any places that are actually GOOD?

Sometimes, esp. the top lift I think, not that often though.

Premise
This is the granddaddy of all alien invasion stories, first published by H.G. Wells in 1898. The novel begins ominously, as the lone voice of a narrator tells readers that "No one would have believed in the last years of the nineteenth century that this world was being watched keenly and closely by intelligences greater than man's..."
Things then progress from a series of seemingly mundane reports about odd atmospheric disturbances taking place on Mars to the arrival of Martians just outside of London. At first the Martians seem laughable, hardly able to move in Earth's comparatively heavy gravity even enough to raise themselves out of the pit created when their spaceship landed. But soon the Martians reveal their true nature as death machines 100-feet tall rise up from the pit and begin laying waste to the surrounding land. Wells quickly moves the story from the countryside to the evacuation of London itself and the loss of all hope as England's military suffers defeat after defeat. With horror his narrator describes how the Martians suck the blood from living humans for sustenance, and how it's clear that man is not being conquered so much a corralled.

Cool. I wonder if any world leaders will reveal themselves as aliens.
