Been open for quite a while now.
It's a great area all year round.

That will be Tsuchitaru, Wizz.
Quite unbelievably - and anyone know why? - it's owned by the Prince Group. There must be some reason for that, I am intrigued to know why.

I think I'm missing something here too. Anyone care to elaborate on "Utada Hikaru's eggs"?!?

Not complaining.

I was motoring through Nagano (Nozawa down to Matsumoto) over Golden Week, and in the evening when we stopped a few times the frogs were SO LOUD - blinkin 'ek - couldn't believe it.
Do they go on like that for a long time?

See the software sales for Japan last week? XBox at 0.0%!!!!
PS2: 69.5%
Game Boy Advance: 13.7%
PSX: 7.8%
GameCube: 6.9%
Dreamcast: 1.2%
Wonderswan: 0.9%
Xbox: 0.0%
If that is not a disaster, then what is?

I thought I would take a trip up there to see what it's like, and did yesterday. Beautiful blue skies but a little windy. Well the snow wasn't much cop I'm afraid, but that's part of the deal with this spring lark ain't it? But had a fairly decent day. It's a small resort.
I recommend Kagura if you are planning to go up to the niigata region. Much bigger and from my memory better snow.

Spring in Japan lasts as long as the cherry blossoms. It's almost blimmin' summer already.

A learning one - I found that out on Wednesday.

I get to read the Daily Yomiuri more than the Japan Times, but they're both kinda throwaway, don't you think? Japan Times seems to be slower on some news items too.
