Quote:Seaman is as popular as Owen or Beckham in England. Like Beckham, many men copy his hairstyle
A frightening thought.

Nice area, and in a great location with really cool places to the west, north and east. Then you have Tokyo down south!

I'm just super-jealous of anyone who lives at the bottom of decent slopes.

My sister, a big fan, loves the Michael J Fox one.

Luckily most people in Japan are not too far from some resorts, so the travel distance problem is less than maybe other countries. Depends on where you live of course. Travel costs a lot though, thats the big problem here.

Hi sophoMORE
By all accounts much less crowded than it was 10 years ago. In fact, sometimes it's like having your very own reserved ski field on a weekday!
As for new resorts, the newest ones I know of are ARAI and NASPA in Niigata, apart from that there has been little in the way of new places - new lifts maybe but not resorts. You were here just when skiing was at it's peak I think.
-
Just what are you saying 7-11 - that resorts blatently lie about the number of courses they have? Or just that there is no standard in defining what a "course" is?
-
Blinkin'ek - the rain doesn't seem to be coming either. Whatz going on?
Too many lifts, not enough lifts, just right?

danz is right, poorly placed, lack of vertical, painfully slow. Get me some fast quads in the right places.
