Actually MistaS, the monkees ARE a real band...they were created as a hoax, but ended up turning into the real deal...including playing their own instruments, writing their own music, and even touring...
in fact, their 3rd album, Headquarters (entirely performed and composed by the monkees), I believe was ranked #2 or #3 on the Billboard Charts in 1967...guess who #1 was, the Beatles with Sgt. Pepper...

a question for all of you in the know...
how does unemployment work here in japan?? I have some nihon-jin friends that seem to live off gov't unemployment checks for at least a few months from each year...
can a gaijin collect these checks too?? just curious....

I hate it to hide!
I try and compromise...I usually stay in at work about 10hrs (today I am already up to 12
)...I can't handle more than that...start to go mad...my coworkers are machines...freaks...12-15hrs day in day out...what gets me the most is the ones with wife and kids...why??? or the younger ones...why oh why?? life is not all about work...

I believe it is very common, if not a requirement, to study 1 foreign language in high school...some universities have it as a requirement as well...
I studied Spanish in h.s., but japanese has booted that out of my brain...
grew up bilingually too (english and hebrew)...
languages are cool...want to learn more...

the lawson near my apato just got this new age-pan stuff...kema curry, cheese glutton, and custard...
only had the cheese, and it was suprisingly good...
I am sad now that the niku-man's and pizza-mans and all the other delicious mans have been phased out for the summer...why oh why do they do that!?

boots are actually in pretty good shape...liner holds up really well, but its just too stiff fot the kind of riding I want to do...and the tight fit makes hiking and drops a bit painful...and forget about the park...not that i would know what to do in one, but I want to learn...
I have really been thinking about going custom...but not sure how to go about it...and not really psyched about buying boots in japan...

i have tried on boots from every maker, and none of them really fit my foot well...head was the closest, and even then i had to get massive work done to make it bareable...

i am on 26.5 head world cups now...but those are still a racing fit, and i need to move up...i think i will be in a 27 or 27.5 with new boot...
salomon:s are no good for my feet...i have a very narrow flat foot...
