Yo Don, I found my friend's burton custom binding's plates fitted my Drake F60s fine. He doesn't have a burton board and so was happy to donate them to me. Burton's 3D system is plain stupid!

It was bloody painful! Put it that way, but we got 4 mornings of huge powder and then four afternoons of rolling down mountains with legs too tired to turn. Meant I had no problem with the rest of the season tho! I reckon go for it and keep your fingers crossed. Even if there's barely any, it'll make a wicked trip and there'll be more there than anywhere else in the country.

Hit Niseko earlyish last December (around the 8th). There was more than a metre of fresh down and it snowed at 50-80cm each night I was there (4 days). Totally wicked but exhausting start to the season!@Plus you can get really cheap packages then. Mine was around 35,000 yen for 4 days, with flights, transport, hotel and lift passes from Tokyo. Guess we were lucky though...
