That is right.
But you can snowboard at any of the other resorts in the Yuzawa area - all of which (apart from Naeba) are within 15 minutes of NASPA, which in itself is just 3 minutes from the main station via the free shuttle bus that the resort puts on.
Also, it is worth pointing out that you do not need to either ski or snowboard in the hotel, when you have your dinner & breakfast, are using the pool, saunas or onsen, when you are in your guest room or using any of the other facilities at the resort.

Quote:Does anyone know if the "RECENT DATA" snowfall section in the resorts info section is just last years snowfall?
It is the data from the previous year. We will update that information next month with last seasons data. -
No, our fault... will change that soon.
Thanks!
-
Sorry Domokun, we have not updated that info... need to do that.
You'll have to register here Domokun:

Are you trying to break our server?
-
We may be experiencing a few server issues today that might affect the site and the Forums - meaning short periods of downtime.
This is only temporary and things should be back to normal by tomorrow.
Thank you and sorry for the disruption.

Here's "the telephone box" on 2nd Feb 07
And on Jan 20th 06
Last season an extreme, in the same way the season before was another extreme (but the other way round!)

It wasn't as huge a difference on the mountain, but lots of town level resorts especially were really having a hard time - even in February when there is usually meters of snow out there.

Hi wannaBsnowboarder.
I am sure that if you contact any of the places listed on SnowJapan they will be able to help you out at least with info.

We have modified the Photo uploading page to make it a bit less busy. Also changed the text to reflect the 500KB image size.

When a video from snowjapan.tv is now embedded on these forums, the first frame of the video now appears on the initial paused screen (rather than the black screen that appeared previously). As well as looking better, this will give you an idea of what the video is about before clicking on Play.

Just had a bit of a drive around the area today as the weather was so good and we also thought it would be good to have some photos to post on here and share with everyone.

More pics, this time REAL snow up at Kagura:
This one shows the new pair lift. They were actually giving it a test run today up there. The new lift is in a different position to the previous two single lifts....
....making room for a "new course" as the guy told us. Apparently they are not going to groom this and not be strict about stopping people checking it out:

Hi SirJib, good to hear from you. Hope you are well.

Quote:but got accused of pumping our bar up too much in a journal or two, when we weren't
Actually, you were.
I have the records in front of me here.
That, plus the over the top bad language = one or two journals did not get posted.
Please - do not continue this line, Blade.
We are not going to be accused and/or discuss this here.
Thank you.
