46-degree Pioneer Course at Kijimadaira available again this season Kijimadaira（木島平スキー場）in Kijimadaira Village (Nagano) is famous for a 46 degree slope called Pioneer. In recent years that slope has either been restricted or totally unavailable (like last season), but this year the ski area is re-opening the top lift and the course. D Course officially named at Minowa Minowa（ファミリースノーパークばんだいx2）in Inawashiro Town (Fukushima) has announced the official name of it's tree run course that ends up at the (now closed) Yokomuki Onsen ski area. The official name is... D Course. Apparently, the inspiration for the name comes from words such as 'deep, delicious, devil, dynamic and dangerous'.
