Jangle Jungle?

No problem, I was gonna write a review for the forums too at some point.
Temp was hovering around 0 that day hence the jackets. Not much wind to speak of but it was definitely cooler at the peak.
I hear they may have the rope-tows running sometime in May. There was no sign of them last weekend so not sure if they're portable and just not installed yet or if the infrastructure is still buried under snow. I think the former may be true.
I imagine the lift course will still have plenty of snow come golden week (see car park photo below).
I passed a few buses between the onsen village and the top car park and there were a few people waiting at a bit of a bus stop thing down the bottom but I have no idea of the cost/frequency. A few people seemed to be hiking from the bottom car park too but it was a good 5km away by car.
Car park snow wall. It was twice this height in some places.
Main run down from the lift.
Panorama from the top of the lift.

2014 kiled it up north at Appi, Talking to staff that have worked there for 12+ years they said this was the best season they've had.

Finally used my pass over the weekend, will try and get my review done before the end of the week.

You're up Gunma Boarder

Not weisshorn.
Clue: This resort is in Tohoku.

At 44 currently, trying to get to 50 with a trip to Gassan and maybe another trip to Hakkoda on the cards.

Not Tsugaike Kogen

Not Appi, not Shizukuishi.
@Bushiman, I think they do cat tours up through that valley and beyond. Would be epic.

Sorry, didn't check this earlier because it was knee deep this weekend. Unbelievable..
See how you go with this.

Early season Hakkoda?

I usually ride only one or two groomers a day at Appi and spend most of my time on the sides or in the trees

The hotel at Appi is nice, but I preferred the rooms in the grand villas. It is a little further to the slopes (100-200m) but I found the room to be more comfortable.
As the others have said, there is nothing to do at Appi but ski/board. If you have a car there are some good onsens in Hachimantai about 30min drive away, otherwise the onsen at the resort is fine and has a huge sauna. Apart from that there is nothing in terms of nightlife unless an event is on at the resort which is rare.
The boarding is sweet. Heaps of variety, the park this year is much better than last season.

As high as you can go

I always thought those 0m, 40m, 80m signs and lines were to help you judge the distance of the car in front?
-
I think Nara and Niigata

Bingo, that was too easy. The ball is in your court pie-eater.

Not Tsugaike Kogen

Shiiii, that's what I thought, might have to postpone and try again in a couple of weeks. Showing 90km/h on the forecast now
-
Planning to head down this weekend (15th/16th), but the wind is forecast at 50-60km/h. What are the chances of the cable cars/gondolas closing in those conditions?

This is my first time posting a photo so I hope I did it right. Get stuck in.

Working in a Japanese resort

Apologies if a thread already exists for this (I couldn't find one) or if it's in the wrong section (feel free to move it).
I'm looking at applying for work in a medium sized ski resort that as far as I'm aware doesn't presently have any foreign staff. Just trying to get a bit of an idea of the average salaries for people working resorts if anyone has done it before/knows some figures.
I searched online and could only find a rough guide of ¥80,000-125,000/month + free accommo for ski instructors in Niseko.
Is this similar for other positions around the resort? Front desk/Information, Kitchen staff, lifties etc.
