Yeah I'm curious to see who calls it racist. Like which ethnic group.

I've seen some big 日本人 noses out here. But mine is small.
Pretty dumb comerical too.

Sounds like I just need to get the stiff boots here as soon as I can then! I certainly hope my boots last 7 years. Thanks for the input.

Kamafuseyama has a great view of Mutsu Bay and Shimokita Penninsula beyond. On a clear day you can see the shadow of Hokkaido and the Pacific Ocean.

So I apparently broke a strap on the cheap snowboard boots I bought when I ate it hard and broke my snowboard (Shamless plug, check my blog!). While it is possible to resew it, my friend who would make the repair reccommends a new boot, and to keep these for backup.
I don't want to shell out for new boots, though having a good boot is an extremely important part of the setup. Instead I sent home to have my old snowboard boots sent out. Since I borrowed them from a friend I never knew the specs on the boot, but found them today as 2007 DC Allegiance's. They were a top tier double boa boot with an extremely stiff feel.
Thinking back, they were pretty hard to just walk around in, especially compared to the boots I have now, which just feel like oversize boots and are super soft. (I think I have issues with heel lift honestly)
Background aside, I wanted to know if anyone preferred a soft boot or one with medium flex even after their skills progressed further with many years of riding. Friends I talked to locally said they got a medium flex boot then got stiffer ones once they got the basics down.
What did you guys do?

This wasn't the japanese girl and gaijin they found together yesterday was it?
-
OK I think I have successfully fixed that.
Yay! Well done!

I thought someone had finally got sick of my drivel and kicked me off the Football thread!
Same thought went through my head. I was like "WHAT DID I DO WRONG?! WHAT DID I SAY!?"
Great job getting things going again David

Wife just confirmed she had a stranger (native) wash her back in hirosaki.
Guess it happens randomly.

We got dumped too. Over 2 feet in less than 24 hours. Shred some for me!
-
An additional foot last night. That's 2+ feet of snow. Come on.

I am too busy in the Onsen washing some local back, to watch to TV
Each to his own.
I would feel too gay to be even imagining I could do that.
Man's comfortable with his sexuality. Some would say even being naked with other men in a room would be gay. But those people are idiots!
My favorite onsen in town has a big screen in the sauna. Sadly its usually local TV and I can't keep my eyes open long enough to watch. Way too damn hot in there.
I'm very comfortable with my sexuality. I'm uncomfortable with strangers wanting to wash my back in return for me wanting to wash their backs.
It's their sexuality I'm not comfortable with.
To be fair I'd decline someone too. My arms are pretty flexible...
Biggen- First time I went to onsen was with 3 openly gay gaijin. No offers to wash backs were made

Got a foot of snow in the last 6 hours. No snowboard though. FUUUUUUUUU

Splitboarding is starting to look more and more appetizing to me the more I look into it. Some cheap boards for about 500USD on japan auctions... but I forget the hidden costs of travel and lift tickets, ect. You try very hard to make me spend more money, though you don't realize it. Almost caved and bought the birdman 180 at full price today. Maybe next season...

My now broken rossignol snowboard. If we're going by usage then I got 7 days of riding out of it. But then again it was a hard crash. I still feel like if I had a more expensive board it would not have cracked...

What's the point of an article like that? Skiing is a sport. People get hurt doing sports. They're really taking off on the celebrity injury to get something across but I dunno what.
Bravo on the 76 year old man getting out there though.
World population goes up... more people do stuff. "Statistics" are so fun to manipulate!

You need to make a calendar with these pictures. 14 months, 14 resorts.
