  1. I LOVE Arbor boards. I have a 2004 Arbor Woodie that hasn't let me down yet! It has a few chips on the sides, but it has held up surprisingly well. It's definitely a well built all-mountain-cruiser. I get compliments whenever I'm on the slopes. (mainly because they aren't really sold in Japan) When I decide to get a new board, I'm definitly going Arbor.
  2. I agree with SJ'er about Daniel Day-Lewis. That dude is a beast.
  3. I was not a fan of the Hobbit. I enjoyed the LOTR's trilogy. First of all, I know the movie was based on a children's book, but c'mon, did Jackson really have to make it so incredibly cheezy? The humor ( the troll scene comes to mind) was awful. And the chase scene with the rabbits and the sled? WTF. I think my biggest pet peave was the fact that they used the horribly done albino orc as the main protaganist. He wasn't even in the book, and the CG was really bad. It was obvious how much work and dedication went into Smegul...why didn't they do the same with Azurog? He looked like he was made o
  4. So I went to Tangram for the first time, not expecting much because it's so cheap. We had coupons for a 4 hour pass with lunch for only 2,500 yen! Needless to say, I was not dissappointed. It was some of the best snowboarding I've experienced in Japan! We went up to Powder Wave runs which go down into the neighboring resort, Madaro. It costs 400 yen to ride the lift back up to Tangram. Anyway, if you like cheap and you like powder, Tangram is amazing. Plus it's right off the freeway so it's pretty convenient as well. Hope to see you on the Powder wave!
