  1. The last time I was there kenko hoken was about 4000yen per month for 3 people travel insurance is about $500au for 1person for 3 months plus if we catch a cold or something minor it's much easier to go to the local hospital with kenko hoken then paying a large amount of money and claiming later I'm not sure about the taxes some don't start until you have been there a year we didn't pay nenkin when we we're there 5 years ago I think school is compulsory and they give you a harder time if you don't attend thanks for your replys so far
  2. We are going there during the school holidays I know he doesn't want to go to school over there. We will ski about 4 times a week I just hope they don't try to force us to go. the last time we were there they didn't like us applying for health insurance
  3. Hi all I have a10yr old boy who is a japanese citizen and has a japanese passport [we live in oz] We plan to go to japan for about 3 months for skiing and applyling for health insurance [kenko hokken] just in case! If we apply for this I know the ward office will try to get us to pay nenkin but we won't My question is do you think the ward office will try to make him go to school?
