  1. Bridgedale Ski socks Hot Chilli Thermals (these must be 10 years old and still going strong) Medium weight Columbia fleece (this must be over 10 years old) North Face Gore-Tex ski pants and jacket (these got updated last year and replace my 10 year old Burton pants and North Face jacket (which is still good for walking to the pub in the snow) :-) Neck warmer, Beanie, Helmet, Gloves All black or grey Less then 2 weeks before we head over! Hence I just pulled all the above out and gave it a wash :-)
  2. Well flights are booked for next year Was a good special on and throw in some frequent flyer points we had, it made for a pretty good deal. We arrive Jan 26th and leave Feb 9th, so we get our two weeks in. We are thinking of Hakuba and Nozawa for this trip (not been to either before). Was thinking of either 8 / 4 ski day split (Hakuba/Nozawa) or maybe 9 / 3. Seems more places to explore in Hakuba, but wondered what others thought?
  3. Thanks all for the replies. (I didn't think the post worked as my browser crashed when I hit submit and I haven't checked back since). Probably no car, but would like to visit two ski areas in a two week trip. Was reading up on Hakuba today and that is looking like a good choice. As an aside, I only discovered today that there are no more direct Perth to Tokyo flights. Our nice 9hr flight has turned into a 13 to 17 hrs plus stopover time. Not happy....... Well back to planning next years trip :-)
  4. Hi all Long time reader of the forum, but first time poster Looking for suggestions for our next ski trip to Japan (will be Jan/Feb next year (2 week trip)) Our recent ski trips have been Niseko/Furano in 2010, Niseko/Rusutsu in 2011 and this year was Whistler, Canada. We really like Niseko (in fact all of the resorts we have been to in Japan), but was thinking it would be nice to try some different resorts on the south island (save us a plane trip to Hokkaido). Class myself as an advanced/expert snowboarder who loves the deep powder and the trees (don't we all) Like to
