Ok I have taken the reading advice on board and putting aside a few hours this weekend! We have booked to fly into Tokyo then will prob head north via air to Sapporo. For a couple of weeks then back to Tokyo and then back out to somewhere on the main island! I'll put up more info on my itinary when I know! But if anyone is up for a ski a beer will be on offer for highlighting best line! Pez

Hi all I am planning a trip out to Japan for 3-4 weeks next dec/jan and was looking for as much advice as possible. I am a ski instructor from Europe and love to ski backcountry especially tree lines! The main areas I would really like some pointers on are- Best areas for steep deep and accessible powder On the north island I know some resorts are stricter than others. Are there any people on the forum up for going for a ski in the suggested areas as always need a buddy to ski with and I will be on my own. Obviously a beer will be on offer for any willing ski companions. Ch
