That top lift looks waaaaay old!
-
I had a front wheel Drive sedan for a few years. Definitely had some sketchy moments in the mountains.
Going up wasn't really an issue for the most part, but coming back down was a white knuckle ride for sure!
I wouldn't get another 2WD here, especially not a rear wheel drive

And Bushiman lucked out on the Oze giveaway, so I'm gonna go there with him in February to check it out and we will write a joint review.
I keep hearing good things about tht place .

For me, if you're in the Hakuba area you'd be nuts to just have a month at Cortina.
With all the other places nearby.
Agreed

My Happo ticket will be used in early February. I will upload my photos and resort review shortly after .
Thanks SJ.

Recently there have been multiple giveaways each week which is awesome . Can we enter more than one giveaway per week?
-
Medium flex and none of that stupid boa nonsense
-
I think a few places in the Hakuba valley have one.
-
Is there other resorts that have such a good deal?
Pretty sure Hakuba Cortina has a one month pass.
-
It was definitely taken at Tsugaike
-
It was behind KFC in Nagano city

1 thing tho, u are likely to leave a dark smudge on ur base due to soot production when u melt the p-tex. I haven't found a way to stop that I'm afraid.....I tried melting with a wax iron but it isn't hot enough to turn it molten to drip into the hole....just creates a sticky mess on ur iron
After the p-tex becomes molten, let it drip a few times onto something other than your board. After a few drips, start filling the gouge in your base. The sooty gunk should have dripped off in those first few drips away from your base.

You will come back often after this trip I'm sure

Nozawa would be a safe bet.
-
And a lunch break No need to stop for food, that's what the lifts are for.
Exactly

Hakuba was pretty epic today

Scored 6 good days in Otari so far this season. Excellent early season conditions with plenty of snow.
-
For me I would go with
Zao Onsen (really want to see those tree monsters)
White World Oze (New tunnel!!!!!)
and
Charmant Hiuchi (crazy location with crazy amounts of snow. Also might be a crazy drive in some crazy weather. Did I mention this place looks crazy?)
How is white world Oze? Looks like some pretty good side-country terrain from the gondola and the top lift.
Was thinking to head there for a day or 2 this season if it is any good....

true.
i already had a adapter for biking and pole for bc. no need to carry extra pole
As did I, but got the Big Ushot and would never consider going back to that clumsy rig.
It is so small and light when collapsed into one section, that it will basically fit in your jacket pocket or the smallest pocket in your pack. It's nothing like carrying an extra pole.
