Abe to the rescue:
The Japanese Prime Minster is said to be looking into a plan to construct a $400 million wall of ice that may or may not contain the massive ever flowing radiation leak into the earths atmosphere and ocean waters.

Very interesting. I must admit that I do not know much about the last part of the war (apart from the 2 bombs), so its good to hear a bit more about the circumstances leading up to the bombs.

Too small for me.
Looking forward to hearing how they perform for you guys. Personally I love my Ions, probably my best snow gear purchase so far.

One thing that Furano has in its favour is that it is very quiet.
However personally I think this is offset by the lack of (legal) off piste terrain. When we were there we were lucky enough to get a decent amount of snow.
Not a bad place to base yourself from if you want to visit Kamui, Tomamu etc. though.

I thought maybe it meant no snowboarders, not quite sure why my mind made that connection. When I looked at the photo of the slope, there doesn't appear to be any snowboarders, so I thought it was worth a crack.

At least there is likely to be a result, can't stand when it goes 5 days for a draw.
