got great weather on the second day, and it was amazing, will post some pictures just need to grab some time to upload them

Takkyubin worked really well, shipped it from the place we stayed at direct to Narita, which meant that we didn't have to worry about them while we were in Tokyo, great service.

Managed to get down to the tourist information centre today, got hold of an English piste map, no bigger than the standard one, as well as a booklet on the runs, by local ski instructor with a map, quite useful. Also discovered that the local Okushiga, trail/piste map has the bus times in English

Hi had our first day in Shiga Kogen, which was great, a couple of questions. Is there an English trail/piste map? Is there a larger map available, than the standard one you get a the ticket offices?

Thanks, we are travelling between Zao and Shiga Kogen looks as if its an all day trip, i presume we can use the service to shift our gear between resorts, how long would they take to deliver?

Just planning our trip and need some help, we land at Tokyo on a Monday around 4pm, we are then going to jump on the train to Zao, gets us in just before 9pm and after the last bus, stay there till Saturday and travel to Shiga Kogen and stay till Wednesday then head to Tokyo for a few days. Any hotel recommendations in Zao, B&B, reasonable sort of 3 star? Will need transport from the station up to Zao, any suggestions? Any hotel recommendations for Shiga Kogen and how to best get to the Snow Monkeys? Sort for all the questions. hope I can repay the favour if any of

Hi Newbie with a question is the a Takkyubin office in Shiga Kogen, want to avoid negotiating Tokyo taxis with Ski's and have them delivered to our hotel in Tokyo
