Hello everyone, first post.
Started skiing when I was 21 (in early 90s) and loved it from about day 3 - my friend organised a self-drive down to a mate's house near Geneva and we did day trips on rented gear. Snowboarding had recently started but I was with skiers so that's what they taught me.
Didn't get organised to go again until I was 25 and since then I've skied probably an average of 20 days a season, the average was bumped up by having a place in Chamonix for a while. Now I'm based in Singapore with my young family and we've skied Niseko a couple of times so far and intend to get out there a lot more.

I presume rescue/recovery efforts began on 1 Jan (if not why not)?
"According to the companion, the accident would have happened at 11:10am on the 1st Jan. "
"A mixed team of Hokkaido Police and Niseko ski patrollers did the search and rescue operation on the 2nd. "
"The victim has been found unconscious and CPA in the bowl at 950m at 10am on the 2nd Jan, 60cm under the surface"
