I haven't been on line for a wee while bit a bit sad in my neck of the woods.
Got results from MRI and they were far from good.
Confirmed my ACL complete tear, meniscus tear and also just to top it off a small tear in my medial ligament.
So both knees match now, go me.
No snow for me this season and depending on when i get the OP prob not next year either.
I guess at least i busted my self in Japan, makes the story a bit cooler i guess.

doc said leaning towards ACL... so its now possible i have two snapped ACL's (one was done 12 years ago)
Boo.... MRI tomorrow.

its just so pretty I miss Japan

Hopefully this is "mad" enough. I have heaps of photos of this bus, from when we first arrived till when we left, it just got higher and higher

god i loved watching the diggers around Niseko pushing the snow around, and also them loading the trucks up and trucking snow out of town, just awesome

Ouch Jynxx!!!
So ACC is approved, one step closer to finding out how damaged i am
Just waiting on a call from my specialist to get an appt.
-
haha SH good on you for asking, you can never ask too many questions!!!!

Sorry guys been catching up on work, its been a flat out few days, almost 5pm Friday and time for some lazy beers.
Still hobbling and still waiting for ACC to come to the party, called my doctor today and they had forgotten to send the form to ACC so more waiting... Cause im still hobbling and still swollen and restricted movement, my medical assessment is looking more likely to have ligament damage just going by past experiance with my other knee.
How ever i am still hopeful that it wont be..
I will keep you posted.
Business class was pimp haha

wow minty that sounds so horrible, the poor guy
Hope your leg heals up and is nothing major, all part of the game ay!!
So i got home yesterday, flights got changed to the 15th instead of the 14th at the very last min, spent a night in Chitose and then flew to Osaka and then home, we landed in NZ at 5.30am 16th local time and left our hotel and 8am Saturday 15th in Japan.
I was worried about DVT (blood clots) and when i got home took my shoes and socks off and my feet were so massive and i had all this new bruising around my ankle on my injured leg and freaked out, we had only managed to get an hour sleep on the plane rides so were super tired. Went straight to hospital, 7 hours later after an ultra sound and A LOT of sitting and waiting we left, they couldn't see any blood clots but my blood tests were a bit funky, they wanted me to stay over night but all i wanted was food and my own bed so i checked out, after around 30 hours being awake i finally got to bed.
Ankles are smaller today but knee is still swollen. Have made appts to get the ACC (free NZ healthcare) under way and then i'll have to get MRI and xrays done, watch this space.
Was supposed to be back at work today but am taking an extra couple of days to get my knee sorted.
My travel insurance covered everything and they were so good to deal with, cost me $100 NZD and i have spent around $1000 at the hospital etc not to mention business upgrade for my self and my partner all the way home
happy to be home thou, but what an awesome holiday, will be recommended Japan to everyone

Thanks everyone, home tomorrow
SH hope you get here safely and you and your fam and friends are ok.
