  2. I wouldnt condsider doing the snow bike at all. If you fall your knee will be at risk. I think you have to come to terms with the fact that you cant ski on this Holiday.

I know that sucks it really really really does but you cant ski or slide on the snow. You could however do some low level Snowmobile stuff. Lion adventure does

alot in the nagano area. Actually contacting them or even Evergreeon about other activities that might suit your needs isnt a bad idea.

    Hope the recovery goes well.

  3. There are so many factors these days when selecting a ski.

You have tip rocker, tail rocker, full rocker. stiff tail soft tail, slight

camber to full camber. I stand by the comment that renting with

the option of being able to try many skis is a very viable option.

Most rental shops dealing with people from abroad will allow people

    to change as they please.

Am I connected to the industry yes I am. Am I connected to a rental shop

no im not. I have a small contract with Nordica boots and skis to help demo

their products. I also have a small relationship with down skis out of Swiss

also demoing and brand recognition. I taught skiing for 7 years before moving

onto more free riding. I get to handle more skis per season by different brands

than anyone I know. That is anyone I know. Does this make me an expert no

but I hope this shows that I do no a little about what I am talking about.

  4. That is a good deal if you live in Nagano or you will travel alot. I know the Whitehorse and although you will get to use cars you wont be able to drive to Nozawa or Shiga maybe once maybe twice but not enough to make that pass worth it. Both areas are about 2 hours easy drive from Hakuba. As the crow flies they arent far but we have to go around. Your best best is the Happo or Goryu early pass and then the JTB pass but to be honest I think having only a few hours a day stay close forget the JTB pass and budget day passes or discount passes. There is talk about an all mountain pass every year but that woul only be the Hakuba town resorts. The price would come in if it ever does at 120000 yen.

  5. There is the JTB pass which covers Iwatake Tsugaike Norikura and Cortina. There is a rumor that Tsugaike might be pulling out though. There is a Hakuba all mountain ski seasons pass out there you just cant buy it though. Only local students teachers and government workers are allowed to buy the pass. The nick name is the gold standard pass. So basically you are going to have to buy a one mountain pass I think.
