  1. Ok this is an important link it isnt for advertising at all but it is link to a beacon manufacturers website that is talking about

the dangers. There are also many videos on the internet now that are showing how bad the go pro is messing up a beacons

search. On you head is too close to the beacon if the camera is turned on.

  2. I like Technica because I have wide feet. Also like the new noridca boots they are pretty awesome if you buy the sidecountry range. Boots are a pain the worst part about skiing really. As for another boot fitter the best I know is the shop 500 miles in the Goryu base lodge. He took a pair of boots and in one shot sorted them out and they fit like a glove. You will however pay for it he isnt cheap but he is that good!

  3. The top of the gondola has about 30cms of really packed base snow. I think that is going to be there for a while.

The lower slopes that aren't facing slightly north are in trouble. It is still 2 weeks away from the official second opening

of Happo. 47 is keeping the snow due to it facing north. Had to drive my car to the base of the Grat quad to skin up. That is still better than jogging to stay in shape for the season Imho.

  4. Dawn patrol a bit of a late start. Great little slide short bouncy turns real fun.

Shirouma with a ton of now on it.

Have to live with these turns. Old school nice tight and bouncy with no bottom hits.

On the deck having coffee before heading to work. Saw snow others hiking up

on the way down they had a same idea. Quick ski then head to the office. Sometimes

a day is just that good.

  5. Nope not ski patrol im the town part time JHS english teacher. That amoungst other things. Alarm clock went off late but still managed to get a 1/3 of the way up Happo this morning. Better than a morning jog for sure. Nice soft bouncy turns without hitting bottom. Wouldnt call it powder... maybe Aussie powder? Really fun for the first turns not hard to ski at all. the crust down lower was very breakable as well, or just hard enough to not hook a ski. Great morning so happy right now.

  6. drove 33 to 19 yesterday for Hockey practice at night. a bit of snow from around Poka Poka land. The snow really only happened becasue the Alps were pushing the clouds up. A true sort of Big mountain storm effect really. You should have no trouble at all but plan for wet roads from Sun Sun park. Saw TO on Tuesday night and at Sounds like cafe. He and everyone else is quite busy preparing for the season id call ahead. Saki is working a job untill the season starts is what I heard. I have boots size 27.5 and board if he has nothing.
