Sounds like a press release!
They copy Madarao

I very much doubt it.
It was a ridiculous operation really when you think about it.
-
Lovely area and not many people ever round those parts.
-
I will do my bit with the weather voting thing.
-
Snowing in Myoko too.
Roads covered, up to 10cm overnight on the forecast.
-
Out but not on. Getting a bit chilly though.
-
Yep baibai Myoko Pine Valley. Wasn't the main one so maybe it might be good for the remaining ones.
-
They haven't been on the Niigata tv yet this year. Fail!
Always the same stories, maybe they didn't make the cut this year or they got bored with the story. Instead we have some paintings from the local elementary school being shown!

Nice to hear, but as I usually wait a good chunk of 2 months from seeing my first snow to my first ski, I'll hold back on the excitement myself.
-
Wow a weekend. Wouldn't do that myself. Before I came and lived here, I'd say a week is the least I'd do.
-
Those older guys who have the long grey hair pony tail thing going on at the back and the balding top.......
What's that about then??
-
Ikenotaira is worth a visit to check it out and a couple of areas that I particularly like myself. But it's probably the one that I go to least. I'd say that people visiting Myoko should give all the main ones on the mountain a shufty.
-
I get excited most days about just being able to live in such a fantastic place.
-
or maybe juuuuust squeeze in a bit more cash before upholding the promise
-
I think Kagura usually goes get real snow up there helped by some machines (yes they do have them on the main course tb). Check the Naeba Now and Yuzawa Now reports to see what happened previous years, I'll take a look myself when I get time.
-
Always interesting how people take to skiing or snowboarding..
-
I wouldn't want to travel too far for a 1 day. For me if I was in Yokohama I would limit that to somewhere in Niigata, the Yuzawa bit, not Myoko, Gunma and perhaps somewhere like Hunter Mountain.
-
A bit colder here I think but just about right for me.
-
I just love it when the oppresive heat and humidity makes way for comfortable weather. It's a great time of the year.
-
Another one without the benefits of getting proper lessons at the beginning. Hasn't done me any harm, though if I was starting out now I might take those lessons.
-
I have never had lessons and probably picked up lots of bad habits from my friend who basically held my hand at the beginning. Didn't turn out too bad though.
Just have fun is the most important thing, after all thats what it's about.
Wide open not too busy slopes is a good place to start
-
There's some other comments on that here, jurgens
Basically not many, the season really only gets underway in late December in most places.
-
That was indeed important news!

I've had more than a few of those responses in my time. It can be amusing (and it can be annoying). Locals know me now though so I am pretty much ignored I think.
