I broke a plastic cap on the heel part of my boot. I've been unable to get it replaced in Japan because the retailer no longer exists and the boot maker is rare (Heier). My question: is it safe to still use this boot? These plastic caps seem designed to help with walking. They don't seem to be part of the binding/release system. Would appreciate any knowledgeable info. Thanks.
