Kanayasan is just under 3km from Takada Station on the Myoko Haneuma Line and 4.4km from the Joetsu Myoko Station on the Hokuriku Shinkansen line.


No shuttle bus service is available.


A local bus from Takada Station stops at Kanayasan Iriguchi which is about 15 minutes walk away.

By road

  • 2.1km from the Joetsu Takada IC on the Joshinetsu Expressway

  • 8.1km from the Joetsu IC on the Hokuriku Expressway

Kanayasan is just over 2km from the Joetsu Takada IC exit of the Joshinetsu Expressway.


At the IC exit turn left and follow the road for about 700m until reaching Prefecture Road 63. Turn left onto 63 and after 850m turn left again to head to the base of the ski area.


There is a free car park for 78 cars (exactly!) at the base of the ski area.
