Togakushi is less than 20km from the Shinano-machi IC exit on the Joshinetsu Expressway.


It is about 31km from the Nagano IC on the same expressway and located north of central Nagano city.


From the northern part of Nagano city head north using the Togakushi Bird Line road and follow the signs to the ski area which is located just off Prefecture Road 36.


There is free parking for 1,500 vehicles by the base of Togakushi on four car parks.
