Takamine Mountain Park is a 17km drive from the Komoro IC of the Joshinetsu Expressway and 23km from Sakudaira Station (Nagano Shinkansen), which is about 60 minutes drive.


A free shuttle bus service is available from Sakudaira Station.

By road

Takamine Mountain Park is a 19km drive from the Komoro IC exit and under 23km drive from the Saku IC exit of the Joshinetsu Expressway.


From the exit, continue on Prefecture Road 79 until reaching the junction with Route 18. Turn left onto Route 18 and after just over 1.5km turn left once again at the sign for 'Takaminekogen Heights' to head up to the ski area.


Access from the north is not possible in the winter months.


There is parking for 700 vehicles available at the base of the ski area. Parking is free every day of the season and open 24 hours a day.


Access to the ski area is only from the south on the Cherry Park Line road. The roads from the north in Gunma Prefecture are blocked off in winter.
