Aizu Kogen Nango is a ski area located in Minamiaizu Town in the southwestern region of Fukushima Prefecture.
This ski area welcomed snowboarders early on when most other ski areas in Japan remained skiers-only. It remains a popular place for snowboarding and has numerous snow parks and a half pipe.
The ski area has three pair lifts and a 2,700m course from top to base.
There are four ski areas in Minamiaizu Town, the others being Aizu Kogen Daikura, Aizu Kogen Takatsue and Kita Nikko Takahata. This region might not be as convenient as the ski areas around Mt Bandai, but the snow quality is often good.
