However up high on the mountain things are ticking along well and there is some nice fluff still building. There are light winds at the moment which will be varied over the next few days but today it should tear after lunch. All lifts open. The latest Furano Now report can be found here . Wow - just as the green grass (well brown grass actually) had made itself visible around the village after months of being under the snow, we awoke this morning to find the whole village under a light blanket of white. Temperatures dived yesterday afternoon and are still in the wintery negatives this morning, but will gradually rise and be back at low positives by the weekend. It is mainly cloudy today but there are some big pockets within the broken cloud letting the sun beam down. Although the snow fall in the village was minimal there should be a good few centimetres of fresh on the resort. Kitanomine Zone closed for the season. Furano Zone open. Furano Ropeway operating.
