The latest Madarao Now report can be found here . Morning from Madarao. After snow through the day yesterday we didn't really end up with that much in terms of new cm (I measured 4cm), though the resort is reporting 10cm this morning so perhaps a decent layer for everyone to play in this morning. There's quite a lot of cloud up there still but the sun out in places to casting giant shadows over half of the slopes as I write this. The forecast is for clearer conditions so we can perhaps expect the clouds to move on and the sun to win out. • Myoko Now: Saturday 25th March 2017

Independent snow and weather reporting from the Myoko region of Niigata New snowfall at base 5cm Snowfall at base this season 1470cm Posted on Saturday 25th March 2017 This is an archived report. The latest Myoko Now report can be found here . Snow continued through most of the day yesterday in Myoko; not a whole lot of new fresh at the end of the day, but the hills are a beautiful white (as are the streets again - nice to see the dirt covered up again). The sun is shining, although we're getting a little more cloud cover at the moment. Which is just what the trusty SnowJapan forecast says.... Backcountry travelers might want to be a little careful about soft snow avalanches, with the warming fresh and slightly heavy snow on an older, harder base. Saw some pretty big ones within the ski area, building from stuff falling from the trees. Just a little caution would be good.... The latest Naeba Now report can be found here . Good morning from Naeba everybody. Today is looking like it should be a fairly nice day out there. Blue skies with a decent amount of cloud although the clouds do not look too ominous. Conditions on piste are smooth and fresh thanks to yesterday's snowfall. Definitely a carving day! This week we are expecting a heavy snow storm on Sunday night / Monday morning. This will be prefaced bu rain but seeing as we are expecting a large amount of snow in the storm this should not be a massive issue. Wednesday and Thursday look like they may both see a little rain which is not too surprising seeing as we are coming towards the end of the season now. NICE!
