Morning from Hakuba, where there's more snow to report.


A bit of snow falling higher up yesterday afternoon and resorts reporting up to 10cm at higher elevations this morning...


Hakuba 47: 10cm

Hakuba Goryu: 0cm (Iimoro) - 10cm (top)

Hakuba Happo-one: 5cm

Hakuba Cortina: 2-5cm


Snow is falling now here in the village and it looks like it's pretty limited visibility in places on the mountains.


Tomorrow sun is expected and it should be warming things up a little.


As we head towards the end of March, some lifts and courses are now starting to close for the season at some of the resorts that remain operating.


I will try to keep any news for each resort updated below, and when things start to get more restricted next month I will go into more details so you can keep a track on exactly what is open.


Hakuba 47:

Hakuba 47 is reporting 10cm of fresh snowfall.

All lifts are operating and courses are open as normal.

Official snow depth

Upper: 325cm

Base: 150cm


Hakuba Goryu:

Hakuba Goryu is reporting 0-10cm of fresh snowfall.

All lifts are operating and courses are open as normal.

Official snow depth

Alps: 300cm

Toomi: 140cm

Iimori: 80cm


Hakuba Happo-one:

Hakuba Happo-one is reporting 5cm of fresh snowfall (Riesen quad top).

Some lifts are now closed for the season but all areas of the mountain are still available.

Official snow depth:

Usagidaira: 245cm

Kurobishi: 320cm

Lower: 90cm


Tsugaike Kogen:

The resort appears to be opening as planned this morning.

Uma-no-se course appears to be closed.

The Tsugaike Ropeway is now operating for the spring season.

Tsuga-no-mori: 355m

Han-no-ki: 350cm

Maruyama: 130cm

Oya-no-hara: 120cm

Kane-no-naru-oka: 115cm


Hakuba Cortina:

Hakuba Cortina is reporting 2-5cm of fresh snowfall.

The Number 2 quad lift and Number 4 pair lifts remain operating.

Ikenota, Hieda Forest, Mt Hieda 1, Mt Hieda 3, Itadaira and Ipponmatsu courses remain open.

Base: 210cm


Hakuba Norikura Onsen:

Open until Sunday 2nd April.

Official snow depth:

Top: 135cm


Kashimayari:

Open until Sunday 2nd April.

Top: 130cm
