The latest Nozawa Now report can be found here . I think I have caught something from my Hakuba Now reporting friend. Bad cold, bad condition, groggy. But... this morning the slopes of Nozawa should be in fine shape with more snow since yesterday and what looks like clearing clouds. The forecast is looking very nice at the moment with lots of regular snowfall - heavy at times - starting from tomorrow night, but don't be too shocked to see some rain down in the village before that clicks in. Fingers crossed we avoid that, but there is a chance of that. For now though, all good. The latest Madarao Now report can be found here . Good morning from Madarao. A bit of left-overs since my last report (and no fresh overnight) but this morning there are lovely blue skies above our mountain as the weekend gets started. It's due to be a relatively mild weekend (cold start) and before the snow comes back from tomorrow there might even be some drops of rain, but lets hope we can avoid that. The latest Niseko Now report can be found here I think sitting out yesterday was a good idea, though while lift operations were limited a friend of mine came back very happy with his day of adventure in the snow. Perhaps I am getting a bit old! This morning I have 9cm to report to you here at base and it looks like all lifts should be open as planned from the start of the day. No doubt there will be a rush to the untouched snow on the upper mountain. Things should be pretty fab this morning. I will leave more scientific sounding stuff about the snow to the Avalanche report below. Take special care while you have your excite fun! --- Niseko Avalanche Report: Mountain base 6am: -6.5℃, 5cm snowfall in 12hours, 25cm in 24hours, calm. The latest Shiga Kogen Now report can be found here . Hello from Shiga Kogen. Already Friday? The days just fly by don't they... There is a moderate wind blowing about and so it is one of those mornings where you'll find different amounts of snow in different places, but I think that 16cm is probably a fair amount to report. Yakebi are reporting up to 30cm and Kumanoyu are reporting 10cm. The wind may also affect some lifts and so it is probably best to check with resorts for the latest up to date on that. As far as I can tell at the start of the morning the Gondola and a few lifts at Okushiga Kogen are on hold Snow isn't falling as I write this here in the Maruike this morning but still is in places. It is cold but if you wrap up you should be rewarded with some fine snow conditions. Less snow forecast for tomorrow with more due later Sunday and early in the coming week. Early lifts recommended, though visibility is limited at the start of the day as snow continues to fall. Hopefully there will be some more cm to fall today. Information regarding ski area operations is manually checked every morning and is believed to be correct at the time of the report. SnowJapan is an entirely independent operation. Our daily reports are not posted on behalf of ski areas or any other business or organisation. Since first going online in 1999, the integrity of this website has always been our top priority, and it is something we are not prepared to compromise. All content is carefully created and written by humans who share a passion for the subject and what SnowJapan stands for. About SnowJapan.com About the daily reporting on SnowJapan.com
