Miyagi Zao Shiroishi is located to the north-west of central Shiroishi city in the south-western region of Miyagi Prefecture. Mt Zao is to the north west of this ski hill. There was a new intermediate 'P Course' from the 2017-2018 season. The resort celebrated its 51st Anniversary during the 2019-2020 season.
Miyagi Prefecture is in the Tohoku region on the north eastern region of the main island of Honshu with a long Pacific coast and bordered with Iwate to the north, Yamagata to the west and Fukushima to the south. The ski hills in Miyagi Prefecture can be found in the mountainous regions stretching from the north to south of the western region of the prefecture.

A free bus is available on from Shiroishi Zao Station to Miyagi Zao Shiroishi, on weekends and holidays. The bus leaves the station at 8:50am and stops at Shiroishi Station at 9:00am.
Reservations are required. The journey takes about 50 minutes.

Miyagi Zao Shiroishi is about 19km from the Shiroishi IC exit on the Tohoku Expressway.
From the Shiroishi IC exit, turn right onto Route 4 and then after about 2km turn right onto Route 457. After about 10km turn left onto Prefecture Road 51 and follow the signs to the ski hill.
