Miyagi Zao Shichikashuku is located on the western slopes of Togetadake in Shichikashuku town in the south-western region of Miyagi Prefecture. Mt Zao is to the north east of this ski hill. Route 113 connects this region of Miyagi Prefecture with Yamagata Prefecture. A few areas of this ski hill are left ungroomed.
Miyagi Prefecture is in the Tohoku region on the north eastern region of the main island of Honshu with a long Pacific coast and bordered with Iwate to the north, Yamagata to the west and Fukushima to the south. The ski hills in Miyagi Prefecture can be found in the mountainous regions stretching from the north to south of the western region of the prefecture.
