There has been a dusting of snow around some areas overnight but probably not much more than a few cm on the slopes in places.

There was some light snow overnight (I am told!), and there is still cloud in places but we have an increasing amount of blue sky this morning.

It is snowing lightly this morning though it might not last the day with a chance of clearing clouds later.

Just going back to yesterday, Okushiga Kogen reported an impressive 30-40cm of fresh snowfall with more than that in wind blown areas. Very nice.

Some lovely light snow again this morning with cold and windy conditions and limited visibility. Some lifts might be affected but generally ski areas are open.

The snow has come. And so has some wind, but ski areas seem to be open.

Light snow has started falling this morning with a dusting so far on the ground. It is hopefully the start of some heavy snow over the next several days.

After the storm, the calm. It's quite sunny too as well.

Shiga Kogen for the win! It's not a huge victory, but it is snowing up here while places at lower elevations are suffering some rain this morning. As expected really.

Yesterday we got that light snow, though it was sleet/rain at times in some of the lower areas.

Well, after the stormy conditions of yesterday, we are being treated to a day of calm, fine weather.

White-out blizzards conditions this morning, folks. It's wild out there. There's not much to see of anything, making conditions really quite dangerous.

This morning it kind of feels like we have, at last, entered 'mid-winter'.
