We did in the end get a bit of fresh snow yesterday but this morning we are back to blue skies and sunshine with a bit of cloud.

I am happy to report that after that unwelcome spring storm, we're back to winter this morning.

I don't think many words are necessary this morning.

The official Shiga Kogen website is reporting 55cm. I am measuring (on average) about 50cm.

Yesterday was a fine day weather wise and temperatures remained pretty cold.

Another 9cm of snowfall to add to the reports this morning but as the morning progresses the clouds have been breaking up and there is now lots of blue sky above us.

The word rain should be banned during winter, but alas the region got that yesterday.

Light snow was falling earlier on and just a few cm of fresh on the ground for my report today.

Light to moderate snow is falling this morning here in Shiga Kogen.

Cloudy at the moment with the sun seemingly trying to break through in places just now.

It's still snowing. And we've had loads since my report yesterday as well.

Things cleared up a bit last night but this morning the snow is back.

It is a grey start to the day with cloud cover and very light snow currently falling.
