I bring you more good news and another very respectable amount of snowfall.

Following on from the good news yesterday, I have more to report this morning. In terms of cm of fresh snowfall, another 26cm.

I have another 13cm of measured snowfall since yesterday to add to the report this morning.

After a day of snow yesterday, this morning we woke to copious amounts of beautiful snow on the ground. I just measure slightly over 30cm.

Fresh snow, hurray! I just measured 9cm. Hirafu are reporting 25cm in higher areas.

Slightly over 1cm this morning at my measuring point, so another thin layer.

Sometimes you think it's snowing really nicely and imagine that the cm will be piling up... but it doesn't.

We have had some snow falling since my last report, but it has only really amounted to a dusting once again.

It was feeling positive for a while yesterday morning with snow falling and giving places a bit of a fresh look.

I am happy to report improved news this morning.

I might have typically tried to post an update yesterday but couldn't due to being away.

Almost 2cm of snow since my last report.

And this morning all of the main ski areas will be open (the little Asahigaoka near Kutchan station has still to announce when it might open later this month). The biggies are all open though.

It's December and we are starting the month in style with a large amount of snow.
