Currently cold and cloudy. There is a hint of light blue up there in some directions, though we're not forecast clearer skies.

'At the risk of boring you', there's another 18cm of snow this morning on the ground that I have just measured, it is still snowing, and there's not much wind.

Lots of snow overnight and windy conditions too, as expected.

I'm dragging myself away from the news from around the world this morning, trying to forget it and just think about nice things. Like fluffy snow.

This morning Annupuri is reporting 10cm of fresh snow while Hirafu and Hanazono are reporting around 25cm.

At the risk of sounding like I am repeating myself, I have another 12cm of snow measured up this morning for the report with news of continued snowfall.

It is interesting to see the range of snow being reported by the ski areas this morning

So that break in the clouds that looked like might be happening yesterday morning did indeed happen.

The consistent snowfall has continued, allowing me to this morning add another 24cm to the report; good to see the Avalanche report mentioning up to 40cm at Moiwa.
