An early report this morning as I just needed to share the news. Snow!

I'm writing this report in Nagano, after driving here from Madarao about 2 hours ago. So here's how things were when I left,

I wasn't here yesterday and just come back now - hearing of some rain yesterday.

More of the same this morning, though maybe not quite as warm - and no sign of rain as yet but possibly later on.

Lovely day yesterday though it ended up somewhat overcast. Warm too.

Morning from Madarao. And happily it is keeping fairly cold.

A few cm of fresh snowfall to report from Madarao this morning with the resort saying there is around 5cm of new on the slopes.

Wild winds yesterday and a cancelled fireworks display after nighta. I think people were probably glad to get in an onsen yesterday after the conditions out there.

And I'm glad that yesterday is behind us that really turned out to be a not particularly good day! It was windy, it was warm, it was wet and rainy, lifts had to be closed because of the conditions.

Well, it's a warm morning here we are already in the positives. +4 according to my thermometer and it's only going to go up.
