Today is one of those days that seems perfect in every way. The resort is surrounded by blue sky with just the odd cloud sitting in the sea of blue.

There was a couple of centimetres of new snow on the ground this morning and it has continued snowing since but not as much as the forecast predicted.

The snow outlook is good for today and tomorrow with heavy snow predicted on the ski area from this evening.

It has turned out to be a warm Sunday here in Furano.

With 11cm of new snow in the village this morning conditions on the mountain are absolutely superb with light powder snow in abundance.

It is a nice day in Furano with mostly clear skies and the sun coming down onto the slopes.

It sure has felt cold in Furano the last couple of days, but poking my head outside this morning felt particularly cold.

Furano continues to do very well with these early season snow falls with a further 4cm to report this morning.

A few more centimetres of snow have fallen since yesterdays report and we are expecting this light snowfall to continue throughout the week until Saturday.

Sunday turned out to be really warm with temperatures peaking at +9c and light rain falling for the first half of the day.

We are back into a warm spell with the weather and +4c certainly feels toasty compared to the recent freezing temps that we have been getting used to.

There has been some light snow on and off during the day and a total of 5cm has accumulated on the ground.

The weather has snapped back from a warmish spell that brought with it a fair amount of rain and cleaned up most of the snow lying around the village.

We are currently experiencing a blip in the wintery weather here in Furano.
