The big story of the day is the 10-15cm we got blasted with yesterday afternoon and into the evening.

You couldn't ask for a more perfect day with blue skies spanning all over the valley and affording sensational views to the Tokachi mountains.

The weekend brought with it strong winds but an epic dumping of snow.

The snow came in droves over night, leaving 10cm+ all over town and with even heavier accumulations in some places.

It's cold and snowing here in Furano.

Yesterday's windy weather also brought with it 12cm of new snow which has put the slopes back into good condition for this time of year.

It is a picture perfect day with no cloud over the ski area and blue skies highlighting the white of the ski area.

It's been flurrying off and on all day long, but we haven't seen any of the substantial accumulations we've gotten used to seeing over the past several days.

Another page turned on the calendar, and another wintery day in Furano. We're seeing scattered snow showers at the moment, leaving behind more of the white stuff every time the winds change.
