It is turning into a fine morning with earlier cloudy largely clearing and some nice blue skies now.

Big Day. The moment of truth has arrived.

Some more snow since my report yesterday but we are going to be having clearer skies this morning.

We have a beautiful and atmospheric look going on this morning with a mix of cloud, some blue sky and the sun shining through in places.

We had some fine weather yesterday but it was raining heavily by later night.

The fun continues with more snow falling yesterday and overnight.

Madarao will open tomorrow (Saturday 13th). It's not clear what lifts will be operating, they will decide that later today, but it will be part open.

One day before a handful of planned ski area openings; we got some snow, but I wonder if it will be enough to let people get out on the snow.
