Independent snow and weather reporting from the Nozawa Onsen region of Nagano

New snowfall at base 13cm
Snowfall at base this season 74cm

Posted on Saturday 13th December 2025 This is an archived report. The latest Nozawa Now report can be found here.

Hello and good morning from Nozawa.

Some more snow since my report yesterday but we are going to be having clearer skies this morning.

And an open ski area thanks to there being less wind.

Operations appear to be unchanged so we probably need more snow for more to open up.

Snow due late tomorrow into Monday and then mid week, so hopefully we'll be getting some consistency going soon.

A lot of folk lining up for the gondola at the start of the day.

Have fun!
