Madarao has announced that it will indeed be opening on Saturday - though I think we pretty much knew that was going to be possible with our lovely snowfall.

I am very happy to bring you your daily dose of Madarao snow.

With both Madarao and Tangram planning to open this coming Saturday (19th), we need snow. And this week we should be getting enough of it to let that planned opening happen.

Fresh snow on the ground this morning. Indeed, I have just measured slightly over 12cm. Nice.

Right now it is generally cloudy but quite bright at times, perhaps the sun will break through again.

And yes, we have a bit of snowfall... just a bit, and it is raining down in town. But good to see a thin sprinkling of snow. Might be a bit more before tomorrow too, in which case I'll let you know.

There is a few cm on the ground from an overnight delivery and right now the sun is shining through my window with there is an increasing amount of blue sky.

It is 31st March and that means that it is the last day of the 2019-2020 season at both Madarao and the connecting Tangram Ski Circus.

Today sees the remains of that last blast of winter hand over to more spring like conditions once again.

Madarao itself is reporting 25cm of it! And the trees are indeed loaded with snow this morning though my number is closer to 20cm. Still, for late March in this season that is some statistic.

After that snowfall yesterday, this morning it's blue skies, sunshine and just some cloud. We are due a day of sunny skies, but it shouldn't warm up too much.

The resort is reporting 20cm of fresh snowfall this morning and I have measured 17cm. It is noticeably colder.

A bit of a dusting of snow overnight but the clouds have cleared again and the sun is out.
