New snowfall at base 4cm
Snowfall at base this season 317cm
Posted on Monday 8th February 2021 This is an archived report. The latest Zao Now report can be found here.
Pretty much the same as yesterday which only started to clear partially near the end of the afternoon. The fog is right down to base.
Visibility is generally ok but some parts of the mountain it is hard to see what you are riding on (look ahead more than usual rather than directly down). Below is photo of a skier on the top of the Kurohime Giant for perspective.
Winds are light to moderate in places.
The new snow is nice to ride on and, depending where you are, can be thicker due to the wind so search it out if you like powder runs. It is still snowing but very lightly and likely to continue throughout the day.
