Today the Chuo lift will be opening from 9am through 3:30pm! You can get there via the Zao Chuo Ropeway. The ski area is calling today and tomorrow a 'pre-open' before what was the planned opening date of Saturday 14th December. I suppose if we get enough snow and conditions are good enough there might be a chance of it remaining open in the coming week. But let's see how that pans out. There is more snow forecast.
There is light snowfall with moderate fog early this morning. I can't see the top of the mountain or the sky.
The roads have a light covering of snow and the plows are getting to work as I write this.
