Snowfall at base this season 510cm

Morning from Zao.

Little snow here and there since yesterday evening. But there has been a lot of strong wind since last night and that will have been blowing it around.

Lifts all seem to be opening as planned this morning.

Tomorrow might see an easing off of both wind and snow - maybe even some sunshine - but there looks set to be very windy conditions again Thursday (with more snow).

Official snow depth (reported by ski area):

Yokokura area: 115cm

Uwanodai area: 150cm

Utopia area: 300cm

Chuo area: 250cm

Paradise area: 250cm

Summit area: 255cm

Night skiing:

Night skiing is planned in the Uwanodai area daily until 24th February (and then 1st/2nd March).
